President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday decorated the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Farouk Yahaya. The ceremony was witnessed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and key government officials.
President Buhari had appointed the chief of army staff on May 27 to replace Ibrahim Attahiru who died in a plane crash in Kaduna.
The National Assembly last month confirmed Yahaya’s appointment.
